Shower of Blessings

Dear Vivi -

When we struggle with feeling sad or missing you too much, like we talked about in our last letter, we think that part of dealing with that and moving past it is to focus on all of the good things that we have in our lives, and how supportive and wonderful people have been as we wait for you.

Last Saturday, we were given a baby shower at Mommy's work, Holy Innocents' Episcopal.  Oh my goodness, it was beautiful.  There was lots of pink and lots of love to go around.

This tree painting was started at the baby shower the women's bible study at First Pres threw for me.  Each attendee put a fingerprint on the tree, and now everyone from this shower has hers on the tree as well a visible mark of all those who are seeing us through this journey.

All of the Chinese words were such beautiful decorations.

Leaving a blessing in the Blessing Book.

Friends!
Showered with gifts.
Here's Daddy, opening up one of many gifts of beautiful girl clothes.  My boys are in for a little bit of a shock. :)
The most touching part of the afternoon was a group blessing to close our time together. While I'm laughing a lot in this picture (I think it was when someone mentioned that we specifically needed to pray for the strength of the grandparents who will be taking care of the boys while we're in China!), it led to a really touching moment.  Knowing that we're being showered in prayer as we prepare to travel to you means more than we could ever express.
A big thank you to our Holy Innocents' family for such a special time together.  I think they are just as excited to see you as we are!

Love,
Mommy and Daddy
